Winston Churchill may be one of the best speakers of all time. Giving the speeches that transform wars or give people hope that they can win. Changing the way people view whats going on is what he does best. Being an extremely important politician Churchill was having meeting with the friendlies and enemies all the time. With great war speeches form WWII he was fired up to win many people over during the Cold War.
Iron Curtain The Iron Curtain is a name given to the border separation of the democratic and communist countries. The countries bordering are Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and Romania on the west side and Lithuania, and the Ukraine as major countries on the East. Although a large part of the Iron Curtain is just the countries borders, the Berlin Wall was a large actual curtain.
The Speech During his Iron Curtain speech he gave the countries which value democracy an over view of the Iron curtain that fell across Europe. He talked about the countries that are communist and how they affected the war and what their affiliation was with the Soviet Union.
The connection to the Cold War is Winston Churchill gave many people an update and a great analysis of what will be happening.
